That was my nose…
SIX! That is the number of people I sat and watched run into a locked door on a pair of doors at the pharmacy. How many of you have walked up to a pair of doors and one side is locked? This is one of my biggest pet peeves! I asked the lady at the counter what the reasoning was for having one side locked. Her response was “I forgot to unlock both doors.”
When I am out and about I can’t tell you how many times I have ran into a locked door on a storefront entrance. Not only is it embarrassing, but it could be hazardous! I have asked several people if they have ever ran into this issue and it seems to be an ongoing problem.
The reasons for them being lock is similar too. Usually the response is, “I forgot to unlock the inactive door,” “the wind blows the doors open unless we lock one down,” or there is too much merchandise piled up in front of the door that the inactive door has to remained locked.
So the next time you go to store/business, don’t use the backdoor. Use the same entrance as your customers and make sure no one is smashing their nose:)
The video below is not a person running into a door, but it’s the closest I could find to demonstrate what happens. You can laugh at this one, since it’s actually a glass window:)
STOP LAUGHING:)
